Join us for an evening of painting with our in-house professional artist, Kritsana Naowakhun.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to overwhelming popularity, the Family Workshop is now full. We will assess our schedule and may consider adding another family class. Please check back on Wednesday December 7th at 10:00am to see if a class has been added. We apologize for any inconvenience.

2019 Winter Art Classes Cost: $180/person
The Suncor Energy Centre for the Performing Arts in excited to offer a winter arts program for students of all ages to explore and create within the visual arts realm.
Students will be instructed by the very talented Kritsana Naowakhun, a fine arts professional who was born and raised in Bangkok Thailand and was educated at Silpakorn University, one of the most prestigious fine arts Universities in Thailand. He arrived in Canada in 2011 and has dedicated himself full-time to pursue his dreams of creating and inspiring others through visual art.
PROGRAMS WE OFFER:
Little Palettes (Ages 6-7)
Wednesdays @ 5:30pm-7:00pm: January 16-March 27 (No class February 27)
Saturdays @ 2:30pm-4:00pm: January 19-March 30 (No class March 2)
Students ages 6-7 can now learn and explore foundational and basic art skills in painting and drawing. Students will be guided through realistic subjects and forms while discovering their own artistic style.
Adult Art Club (Age 17+)
Mondays @ 6pm-9pm: January 14-April 1 (No class February 18 & 25)
This art club is open to all students 18+ who have a love for art and a desire to share time and space with others of the same mindset. All levels are welcome, including beginner level. Students will gather to learn basic foundational art skills and new techniques in painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media. They will then apply their skills working independently creating art pieces in the subject and medium of choice while interacting with other artists and receiving mentorship by Kritsana. Adults are encouraged use this time to relax, socialize, and explore their creative potential.
Child Beginner Art Classes (Ages 8-11)
Saturdays @ 12pm-2pm: January 19-March 30 (No class March 2)
Learn and explore foundational and basic art skills in painting and drawing. Students will be guided through realistic subjects and forms while discovering their own artistic style.
Child Advanced Art Classes (Ages 8-11)
Tuesdays @ 6pm-8pm: January 15-March 26 (No clas February 26)
Saturdays @ 9:30am-11:30am: January 19-March 30 (No class March 2)
Students who already have strong foundational art skills and basics in painting and drawing are encouraged to take this class. Students in this class develop their own vision and style and are given leveled subject matter to further develop their skills and creativity. Students must be invited to take this class by previously being enrolled in the child beginner class or must be approved by the instructor and provide examples of their work.
NEW! Advanced Master Class (Age 17+)
Wednesdays @ 7:30pm-9:30pm: January 16-March 27 (No class February 27)
Students will have the opportunity to work with a live model in order to strengthen their powers of observation and understanding of natural light as it passes over 3-dimensional forms and how this translates from a 3-dimensional structure onto a 2-dimensional surface.
Youth Advanced Art Class (Ages 12-16)
Fridays @ 6pm-8:30pm: January 18-March 29 (No class March 1)
Students who already have strong foundational art skills and basics in painting and drawing are encouraged to take this class. Students in this class develop their own vision and style by choosing their own medium and subject of interest. Students must be invited to take this class by previously being enrolled in the youth beginner class or must be approved by the instructor and provide examples of their work.
Youth Art Club. Ages 12-17
Thursdays @ 6pm-8:30pm: January 17-March 28 (No class February 28)
Students explore their individual style while continuing to build a strong foundation of art skills. Students who come to this class socialize with other art enthusiasts while challenging themselves to dive deeper into their subjects of choice. This class is for students who are passionate about art and wish to further develop a strong art portfolio. Students must be invited to take this class by previous enrollment or approved by showing Kritsana examples of their work.
