So, you want to be a filmmaker? Join us for our Short Film Weekend!

Attention aspiring filmmakers! In collaboration with M’GUPHYNN MEDIA, we are proud to host a two-day intensive for students age 14-17*

$75.00/person

The weekend will be executed in 3-parts:

Day 1 (Saturday June 11: 10:00am-3:00pm):
Students will be provided an instructional overview to learn the essentials of filmmaking, including writing, shooting and editing a full short film from initial idea to final cut. The dynamic team at M’Guphyn Media will lead a free form ideas pitch session before working together as a team on the script. 

Day 2: (Sunday June 12: 10:00am-3:00pm):
Students will be given hands-on training on the use of filming equipment for picture and sound. Students will also have the opportunity to be in front of the camera: starring in their own film!
With access to Adobe Premiere Editing Suite, students will be instructed o techniques on picture and sound editing to complete their short film.

Day 2: The Premiere (Sunday June 12: 7:00pm) 
The final cut of the short film produced by the class of students will be screened on the big screen at the Suncor Energy Centre for the Performing Arts! This will be a free event for the community and we encourage you to invite family, friends and fellow filmmakers to attend!
